The Bug

Macy has been sick since Thursday night. She has had some kind of bug. She's running fever and has ugly, yellow goop coming out of her nose. We took her to the doctor Friday and he put her on an antibiotic, but she's still running a little fever here & there. She stayed home from school again today. 2 of the neighboring school districts have shut down school for a few days because so many kids are sick. She must have what they have.

Yesterday was my birthday (37 years old). I don't feel a day older. Did the normal Sunday gig (church, moms to eat and home) for my birthday. We celebrated mine and Carrie's birthday at my moms last Sunday. My girls got me a fancy electric toothbrush (I use the term fancy to mean expensive). It does feel good though and my hygienist said it's the bomb. It was a good birthday.

Carrie is in full swing at the tax office. She is really busy now with appointments most all day. It will be this way thru February I'm sure. She's added a new item at the office, BBQ sauce. One of my friends is making a BBQ sauce now so she sat some on the counter. If you like a sweet sauce you can check it out here.
