Bristol Week

It finally rained. We got 2 inches of rain and the temperature has dropped. Temperature this week is supposed to be around 90 deg but the humidity is supposed to be low. I'm ready for that.

This is Bristol week. This blog will be a Bristol blog this week. We will leave Wednesday morning and stay till Sunday. Truck race Wednesday night, hauler parade Thursday night, Busch race Friday night, and Cup race Saturday night. Lots of eating and lots of relaxing. My wife will read a couple of books and take a nap every day. We camp with several other friends of ours, so it's fun seeing them.

I have three favorite Bristol moments.

1: Fall of 99. Terry Labonte had been leading for a while. Dale Earnhardt Sr spins him in turn two to take the lead and go on to the win. Terry battled back and almost got back to the front. It was exciting.

2: Fall of 2000. Got to see Rusty Wallace win at a live race. That was great.

3: Fall of 2005. Rusty's last race at Bristol. They honored him in several ways and it was neat to see. Rusty was a 9 time winner at Bristol.
